Dress ups, a hike, and a musical

For our final day in Manti, we had to do something special.  Grandma played dress up with the girls while I went running and got my hair done.  This afternoon I got to take the girls on a hike up in the "mountains" (hills behind Grandma's house).  They were good little hikers and it was good to get them out  for some exercise.  Tonight we all enjoyed the special treat of going to the local High School production of the musical "Beauty and the Beast".  For a small town High School it actually was pretty good.  Of course, both Reili and Amberly thoroughly enjoyed it.  My mom came with us and Grandpa stayed home with Wesley and had some boy fun before putting him down to bed.  What a great day!

Fun Riding Horses

Monday afternoon we were invited by my parent's neighbor to come let the kids ride some horses.  Of course I knew they would love it.  Even Wesley got to take a ride and he didn't want to get off.  Afterwards, we all walked down to the candy store in town for a treat.  All part of the fun of visiting a small town.
Mom, this is the best day ever.

Not ready to ride a horse yet...maybe in a few minutes I'll warm up to the idea.

Amberly, Reili, Wesley (with Polly's help) all enjoy the horses.

Reili is a great leader while Amberly rides.

A Sunday Walk

We took our traditional Sunday walk yesterday to the Manti Temple with Grandma and Grandpa.  The kids had a blast climbing on the rocks in the rock garden.  It's great to be visiting family!
Grandpa, Amberly and Reili descend the stairs.

Fun on the rocks with Grandpa.

Chuck E Cheese

We are spending Thanksgiving in Utah this year and on our way we stayed the night in St. Louis.  I decided it was time to take the kids to Chuck E. Cheese.  We had Reili's 4th birthday there and of course it has been a favorite ever since.  This is only the second time we have gone in the last almost 3 years...mainly because we live in the middle of nowhere (or everywhere if you want to look on the bright side).  Reili, Amberly and Wesley all had a great time and I just tried to keep track of them (which was somewhat stressful I do admit).  Any time I do something like that with the kids, I think once again....I can't wait until Tom comes home!

Cute outfits

Wesley got some new pajamas recently and I thought he looked so cute in them that I had to take some pictures.  The cutest thing is that when I point to the trucks and say truck, Wesley says it.  Amberly gets hand me downs from about everyone, but I thought this particular outfit was very cute.

All dressed up for Halloween

Halloween is not my favorite holiday, but luckily my friend Kari had some costumes for my kids to wear from previous halloweens.  So it worked out great for me.  Thanks Kari...it's a good thing I have good friends.  Halloween seemed to last for two days with the girls school parties and everything.  I helped out with Reili's class party and took Amberly.  It was a good time for all.

The Boo Review

The day before Halloween Reili's class performed a little halloween program.  I took Amberly and one of her friends and left Wesley with Rachel.  She was so cute as a witch and is a great singer.

Pumpkin Carving

So I am way behind on my posts because I haven't been around a computer I can post on.  I am going to take my computer in to have it looked at, so hopefully I will be back in business soon.

Pumpkins at the ready.

Eeeewwwww!

I'm not putting my hand in there Mom.

What's so interesting in there, Mom?

A happy face and a scary face (or the closest Mom could get...she is not the best artist).

Wow...look at the glowing candles.  OOOOooooooo!
