Another Wesley Moment

My sister-in-law, Cathy, sent me these pictures of Wesley from this summer. These are from our trip to The Gateway. On our way back to get back on the train we got some ice cream at Haagen Daaz. Of course I didn't get Wesley his own cone, so we had to share with him. Here is the outcome of that fun. Thanks Cathy for the great pics!

I want the ice cream cone!

I'm going to cry!

Finally someone heard me!

What are you looking at?

Don't look at me that way!

Oh, NO!!

Wesley is climbing now...a wonderful stage as we all know. So I was sitting in front of the computer checking random people's blogs (not something I let myself do as often as I would like), and I realized that I had not been paying close attention to what Amberly and Wesley were doing. This of course can be a mother's undoing. Lucky for me no one got hurt, but I did walk out to the kitchen to find Wesley crawling across the table to a mess he had recently made. This is only the beginning...I know...It could be way worse.

These animal crackers are the best! Mom, shouldn't you be at the computer still?

I'm so glad I dumped them all out so I could get them easier!

Future Gymnast?

Amberly is taking gymnastics this year at a local gym here called Flip Flop Gymnastics. All the mom's here say that they do a really great job with the kids, so I thought it would be good for her. This was her second week and she is gaining more confidence and getting better balance. The most important thing is that she is having fun doing it. Here are the best shots I could get through the glass in the waiting area.

Should I jump off now?

Look at me mom! (I wish I would have let you do the pony tail, then it would stay tight.)

Just hanging on.

Wait....you mean I have to step over these lady bugs? Hey, hold on...give me some time here.

O.K. mom...sitting here watching Amberly isn't THAT fun.

Look Dad, another tooth!

Dad, I wanted to call you up right away tonight, but you were already in bed asleep and mom said there is no way for us to call you. Look, I finally lost my first top tooth. Brother Wehrli, our home teacher, pulled it out for me (cause mom is a fraidycat when it comes to pulling out teeth). It didn't hurt a bit and I am so happy because the tooth fairy is going to come a bring me a dollar tonight and then I can go buy something with it at the store. I miss you Dad! When you come home you can still pull out my teeth and I'll be so excited.

Reili had her picture taken, so I wanted mine taken too. I still have all my teeth though (thank goodness).

Riding Lessons

Reili has been asking to take horse riding lessons for a long time. So this week she finally got to start. She goes for an hour every Tuesday. When she came out and got on the horse and saw me watching, she gave me a big grin. She has always loved animals and I am sure she will do well at this and enjoy it.

I had to get a shot of her in her brand new cowboy boots (she insists they are cowgirl boots).
