All I want for Christmas....

...is my two front teeth, my two front teeth!  Reili recently lost her other front tooth so I thought I would include a picture here.  I think she looks really cute without them.

Horsie

Wesley's new favorite thing is to ride on Reili's back around the house.  He loves it so I just had to snap some cute pictures of them.

At the Pumpkin Patch

We have a great pumpkin patch nearby that we love to visit every year.  This year the Yellow Ribbon Room at the base organized an outing there for all the families of deployed service people.  So we got to go for free (even better).  All the kids really enjoyed it and I can't believe how much they have grown since last year (if you look at the post from last October you will see).

Wow...this goat is really hungry!

Hmmm...I'm not quite sure about this feeding the goats thing mom.  Are you sure it's safe?

Feeding the goats...my favorite.

Yipee...a wagon train ride!

Let me drive the old tractor!

Who's up for another ride?

Get me one of these, Mom!

Mom, here we are...in the corn maze.

Pumpkins anyone?

"Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder..."

Well Jane, even though I can’t be there, I’m thinking of you daily. Given our current situation, I thought the title of this post would be appropriate; however, it’s the time we’ve spent together that has truly endeared me to you, not the time we’ve spent apart.

I hope you have an awesome birthday, because you deserve it!  You’re an awesome wife, a terrific mother, and a perfect daughter (we all know she’s your favorite Neil and Joan;) I look forward to being able to celebrate your birthday together next year!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

 Love, Tom

(For those of you who don’t know, Oct 24th is Jane’s Birthday!  If you’re stopping by, feel free to leave your best birthday wishes!)

Braces

After 18 years of wanting straight teeth, I finally got braces today.  Now I know why kids complain about them...it really will take some getting used to.   It feels like I have a mouth full of poking metal and getting the spacers and the bands placed was somewhat painful.  I'm going to have to learn to eat all over again.

Tom wanted to see them right away.  One of the only perks of him going to Iraq is me getting braces  (I'd rather have him home any day by the way!).  On the plus side this is something that will last longer than he will be over there...so maybe it will make his time go by faster.  I will still have them when he gets back.  Thanks Tom...for loving me!
