Elizabeth Lenore

8 days old and fast asleep. I just love how her hands are up next to her face.

11 days old...this is as close as I could get to a smile.

12 days old....Violently declaring her ardent love for Mr. Darcy. (This is my favorite onesie I got from a friend at my baby shower).

13 days old...relaxing in her winter clothes on the couch.

What a sweet, precious girl...we all love her so much and are glad she came to join our family!

You Decide...

My inlaws say that all of our kids look like Schells, which gave me an idea.... All three pictures above are taken around the same age (7-8 years old); unfortunately, I couldn't find a nice crisp picture of Jane, but it should suffice. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts so we can put this to rest once and for all! One thing Jane and I do agree on--Reili is much cuter than either of us were at that age!

Michael, our other baby

I bought a ball python for the girls a while back... They are so easy to take care of, and the girls (and Wesley) love holding it and feeding it. We usually feed him frozen mice once a week, but occasionally I treat him to a live one, as you see in this video (you can also tell that we finally got a new camcorder with all these recent video postings).

Welcome Eli!

Well, she is finally here--Elizabeth Lenore Schell. Weighing in at 7 lbs 4.5 ounces and 20.5 inches long, she is our largest baby to date. We are calling her "Eli" for short.

At any rate, Jane comes home tomorrow, and we are all excited! Here are some clips I put together of the pre and post birth event. As I was downloading and editing, the kids watched them with me. Wesley was so cute. He kept trying to talk to Jane when he saw her in the video ("mom...MOM!.... I love you--why aren't you talking to me?!" or when he saw video of me holding Elizabeth, "You're fat..."). Well, thank goodness the baby is born and I can lose the weight now.;) Hope you enjoy!

When no one is looking....

So we just bought a brand new iMac; It's everything we've come to expect from Apple products, and more!... A few days ago, unbeknownst to me, the girls were on the computer playing on one of the software programs that comes with the newer Macs, called "Photobooth." I spliced together a few clips that they recorded of themselves... I think you'll be surprised to see that our shy little Amberly Jane isn't as shy when she thinks no one is watching (hmmm... I wonder where she gets this from...) Oh, and sorry for all of the video filters--they had a fun time playing with all the special effects as well!
